What is Individual Therapy?

  • One on one therapy between you and your therapist.

  • This time is dedicated to you and your personal goals.

  • You will likely meet for about 50 minutes once a week or every two weeks. 

  • Your therapist will create a plan with you that will help you reach your goals and make the progress you are seeking. 

  • Time is spent talking about and processing what is important to you, as well as learning new information and coping skills to help. 

  • Your therapist will help guide you in understanding and communicating about and to your inner world. 

  • The experience is collaborative and experiential, meaning you will get to experience the healing and growth hands-on in therapy. 

  • Your therapist is there to help and guide, but you are in charge.
